Cashback Apps
- Ibotta – Ibotta is a popular rebate app for grocery items that is expanding to more and more stores including Home Depot and Ulta. Select your store, product(s) you purchased, upload your receipt, and wait for rewards! To sign up click HERE and use my REFERRAL CODE saxxiqm at registration for a referral bonus to jumpstart your earnings. Note: it is easier to copy and paste referral code when you sign up. Learn more about Ibotta.
- Fetch Rewards – This is quickly becoming my favorite rebate app because it matches rebates FOR you – just submit your receipt and wait for points! Download the Fetch Rewards app and input the REFERRAL CODE: RM1VD to get 2,000 point bonus as a new user! Note: it’s easier to copy and past code into referral spot
- Checkout 51 – Similar to Ibotta, select the items you purchased and submit your receipt. I have found you can sometimes get two for one receipt using both Ibotta and Checkout 51! Use my CHECKOUT 51 REFFERAL LINK to get your account started and earn a $5 bonus. Simply click on the link, click ‘Sign up on Desktop,’ and then download the app on your phone using the account information you signed up with.
- SavingStar – SavingStar links to your store loyalty cards. When you earn cash back on products, you will get cash back through PayPal that is added to your account. Read more about how to stack rewards.
- Receipt Hog – Receipt Hog accepts ALL receipts, from grocery to gas station. Earn coins with receipt submissions, and chances to win on the virtual slot machine
- Receipt Pal – Submitting receipts in batches of 4 earns you points towards an Amazon or retail gift card. Additional rewards include earning sweeps for entry into sweepstakes for cash prizes! Use my RECEIPT PAL REFERRAL LINK
- Coinout – Coinout is another app that accepts any receipt — the only restriction is the number of receipts you can submit per day. Rather than earning points towards rewards, you earn anywhere from $0.01-$0.11 per receipt. Submit and watch your total grow! Use my COINOUT REFERRAL LINK
Maximize Earnings
Having access to these rebate apps is the first step, but the second is learning how to maximize your earnings.
- Check Rebates First – The best way to maximize earnings is to compare your shopping list with available rebates.
- Check Specifications – Often times rebate apps include parameters on rebate offers, including specifications on quantity or brand purchased. For example, you have to buy two packets of Oreo tickets in order to redeem the $.75 rebate offer. Checking these parameters before you shop can increase total savings.
- Look for Rebate Bonuses – Ibotta offers incentives for earning rebates. These incentives usually include redeeming a certain number of rebates before a certain date for a cash back bonus.
- Submit Receipts Timely – Of all the rebate apps, Ibotta and Fetch Rewards are the most generous in length of time rebates are available. Other apps that reward you for receipt submissions generally only accept receipts from a certain time period.
- Keep Receipts for Future Rebates – Similar rebates can be found on multiple receipts. For example, the granola bars you bought and redeemed on Ibotta could appear on Checkout 51 a few weeks later. My general rule is keeping receipts for 1 month before trashing them- otherwise my purse becomes unusable! Keeping the receipts with common rebate products will maximize your earnings
Learning the ins and outs of these rebate apps can be tricky at first, but once you get the hang of it you will see your earnings grow! I was able to accumulate $50 of rebate earnings and buy a bookshelf from Walmart – all for the cost of tracking product rebates and submitting my receipts! If you haven’t used any of these rebate apps before, just choose one to start with. You will soon see just how easy rebates can be!
