The Saving Spender has characteristics of both a spender and a saver. The Saving Spender goes through cycles of spending and saving. Periods of saving usually follow spending laden with guilt, and a commitment is made to refocus efforts to save. Similarly, periods of spending follow bouts of saving because the desire to spend has been pacified for too long.
All of us have tendencies to be both a saver and a spender during our lives. The distinguishing factor of the Saving Spender is that periods of saving and spending are cyclical and go from one end of the spectrum to the other with little in between.
Unfortunately we can’t choose when to pay bills, no matter which money cycle you are in. Don’t leave bill paying to chance and timing, and pay them first. Even better would be allowing automatic withdrawal of all bills from your paycheck

If you are truly a Saving Spender your cycles of saving and spending will be recurring- so it would be beneficial to map out when your cycles start and end.
